OPEN HEART - OPEN MIND
Description: Open Heart - Open Mind is a school-based early intervention, preventive services and counseling program for at-risk children in New York City public schools. Our teams of professional social workers work in the schools throughout the year, providing services that improve the emotional, social and cognitive development of children at-risk of failing in school.

CENTER FOR CAPACITY BUILDING
Description: The Center for Capacity Building, established in 2005, offers professional development and training, as well as an Open Heart - Open Mind replication model for urban school success. There are a wide range of trainings and workshops derived from our diverse best practices, which are flexible and can be adapted to suit the needs of a particular school.

LIFE STEPS
Description: Life Steps is a counseling and preventive services program for Brooklyn children and adolescents up to age 19 at risk of being removed from their families due to abuse, neglect or family break-up. Our staff of professional social workers and counselors offer individual, family and group counseling services to prevent school dropout, strengthen families and help adolescents deal with overwhelming stresses in their lives such as teen pregnancy, early-age parenting and entry into the workforce.
