Environmental Science Program

Description: christodora teaches environmental science to over 2,000 mixed-income students a year, in both urban and wilderness settings. Our in-city programs take place during school and after school, while our wilderness programs take the students out of the city, on weekends and during school vacations, to the Manice Education Center in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts. We work with students in the sixth through the twelfth grades, three-quarters of whom have never been outside of the city before.
