OPERA America
Mission:
OPERA America is the national service organization for opera, and is dedicated to the creation, presentation and enjoyment of the art form. The association provides members with an array of publications and online resources, regional workshops, an annual conference, and network-specific services such as conference calls, e-mail listserves, and direct contact with staff with expertise in opera production, administration, and education. OPERA America provides members with tools to maximize the effectiveness of financial and human resources, expand the scope of repertoire and programs, and extend their reach to new and diverse audiences.

Music! Words! Opera! (M!W!O!)
Description: Music! Words! Opera! (M!W!O!) is a multi-level curriculum designed for students in grades K-12. Using opera and music theater masterpieces, the curriculum teaches students about these art forms using a multi-disciplinary method that has students compose and perform original music theater works.
