Stages of Learning Course of Study
Description: Stages of Learning® is an award-winning, comprehensive drama education program described by Mayor Bloomberg as one of the most effective arts education organizations in New York City. By acting out scenes from books and plays, students in grades three through six learn essential skills and strategies of theater through "life-changing" educational experiences. Collaborating with the classroom teacher, one teaching artist visits each classroom for twelve weeks throughout a school semester. The program usually reaches entire grades and, in some cases, involves multiple courses/units of study.
