SchoolSourceNYC - Answers for New York City Families
SchoolSourceNYC – Answers for New York City Families is an exciting multimedia project launched in August 2009 at the Second Annual Back to School Event by the New York City Department of Education Office for Family Engagement and Advocacy in partnership with RMC Research and THIRTEEN. The SchoolSourceNYC Web site provides the latest information on topics important to New York City families such as the transition to kindergarten, what to look for when choosing a high school, and why families need to stay involved and connected to schools. The website also shares ideas for families to connect with schools around the key areas of development and student achievement. Print and multimedia materials on the website may be downloaded and used in parent trainings and family workshops or for distribution by community partners. The SchoolSourceNYC products include foundation sheets – like research spotlights, tip sheets, videos, podcasts, narrated PowerPoints and discussion guides.
