Community Action Fair

 

Goodwill Industries of Greater New York will be holding its first Community Action Fair on Saturday, July 12th from 11am-4pm at Lighthouse Park on Roosevelt Island. The event is free and open to New York City Residents. the purpose of the event is to connect residents with other public and private resources including: educational resources, employment resources, business and technology resources, going green resources, & health and fitness resources. The day will also include children's games, face painting, inflatable rides, cotton candy, snow cones, etc.

Sunday, July 13th, 2pm-6pm 

Teacher Picnic

 

LinkEducation, KIPP NYC and Summerbridge Breakthrough Alumni Network are throwing a picnic for the NYC education community.

 

Come out and join us for a day in the sun. No need to bring handouts or highlighters, just head over to Brooklyn Bridge Park to meet your fellow teachers for some food and maybe a game of Frisbee.

 

Free to attend and cheap to eat:

  • Grilled Chicken and Pesto on French Baguette
  • Ham and Brie on Whole Wheat Ciabatta
  • Hummus and grilled vegetables on Ciabatta

All sandwiches are served with potato salad and drink
$3.00 per meal
