How to Navigate LinkEducation
The LinkEducation website is designed to serve you and the many others passionate about improving the schools of New York and eliminating the achievement gap that persists. Hopefully you find this site easy to use, but in case you are new and want some tips, read on…
- Browse other profiles
You can easily browse through organizations, people, schools, resources, or job postings by clicking the Browse directory link at the top right corner of the page. You can also click on the organization, schools, or individual tabs on the homepage.
To browse more efficiently, you can sort by category. For example, you can sort to see only math, or only after school, or only arts.
- Search organizations, people, schools, resources, or job opportunities within a geographic area by using the map feature
If you want to search the slew of profiles that exist within a particular geographic area, visit the map on the home page or go to advanced search and click one of the boroughs there. Just keep in mind that there are a lot of programs with headquarters in one location (such as Manhattan) that serve other communities that aren’t listed on our site. If you have a hard time finding programs in your area, then you can search for what you are looking for without specifying your location.
- Create your profile
There are many ways to create your own profile. The easiest: go to the Sign Up/ Sign In tab and complete the fields in the left hand box. The fields with an asterisk are required. You can also add more information to your profile by clicking the “profile” button (which is above the search box on the top right corner of the homepage). You can add information about your past jobs (for individuals), about the details of your program ( for organizations), and about details of your school (for schools).
