We are happy to announce that Joseph O’Rourke will present "Shape Transformers: Forms That Fold Two Ways" on Wednesday, May 2nd. Transform your thinking as mathematician Joseph O'Rourke explores unsolved problems at the frontier of mathematics, inspired by the surprise that a single pattern of material can be folded into more than one different 3D shape. Joseph will be introduced by Dave Micklos, Executive Director of the DNA Learning Center at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. This presentation is appropriate for adults and for students of age 10 and above.The presentation will begin promptly at 7:00 PM on the 14th floor of the Baruch College Conference Center (24th and Lexington). Light refreshments will be served at 6:30 PM.Please remember to register early to avoid being closed out of the presentation. | ||
