On the first Thursday of each month during the school year, World Savvy hosts a free, monthly, peer learning session at our offices in San Francisco and New York City. Open to all education professionals, World Savvy’s MAPLabs are designed to foster reflection and community among globally minded educators, as well as to provide support with curriculum or classroom strategy.Structure:The first hour of each MAPLab is devoted to a collaborative assessment conference where we focus special attention on a sample of student work. Bring an example of student work to each lab and together we will select one to inspire our first hour of conversation. During the second hour, the group engages in learning and discussion around specific strategies and techniques for the classroom. This includes:

• Exploring World Savvy’s educational resources
• Workshop-ing curriculum or lesson plans
• Brainstorming strategies with educators of similar content areas
• Participants are encouraged to propose topics for the second hour when they RSVP!

Building on last year's eliminating bullying workshop, this interactive workshop for teachers and administrators will deeper participants' understanding of how to create safe and supportive schools for all students.
