Her work has been nominated for a McClelland & Stewart Journey Prize, received gold at the Western Magazine Awards, and placed in the international Toronto Star Fiction Contest. His debut book, In This Way I Was Saved: A Novel was published in August 2009 and received critical praise from the Los Angeles Times, Publishers Weekly, and Library Journal (starred review).
