You DO have time to be a mentor!
iMentor provides a flexible and meaningful way to make a difference in the lives of high school students from underserved communities in New York City. iMentor matches adult volunteers one-to-one with students (mentees) based on shared career and personal interests. Our substantial, technology-enriched program empowers NYC's caring adult volunteers to empower NYC's youth and to help them achieve personal, academic, and career success!
What's the time commitment?
We ask our volunteers to commit 4-6 hours each month:
• Mentors set aside one hour each week for structured, curriculum-based email correspondence with their mentees.
• Mentors meet their mentees 5 times between October and June at regularly scheduled, iMentor-hosted, face-to-face events.
(Events are each 2 hours long.)
Mentor Requirements –
• Volunteers must be at least 21 years old, and must live OR work in the New York City metropolitan area.
• iMentor requires a minimum one-year commitment to our program. Two, three and four year matches are also available.

You are invited to share your work with your peers, and add your voice to theirs, and become part of the solution.
