More than ever, we are a global community. In Religion and Diversity Education: Cultivating Global Citizenship, you'll learn how to assess the state of multicultural education in your classroom, adapt your current curriculum for establishing an inclusive environment, and prepare students to participate in society at a global level. Using our 7 Principles for Inclusive Education, samples from our skills based curricula, theories of multicultural education, globalization trends, and Professional Teaching Standards, you'll explore creative ways of integrating religious diversity education into a variety of content areas in your K-5 curriculum. Just listen to what some past participants had to say: * "[This class] will have an impact on me and my teaching for the rest of my career!!" – Daniele, Primary School teacher, Brooklyn * "I have already implemented many of the ideas and ways of teaching into my style of teaching, just this week." – Elisa, 1st Grade teacher, Queens Our next 5-day session begins July 13th. Register through July 10th to ensure that you get the advance course materials in time. Registration is through the New York Department of Education for city or state employees and through Tanenbaum for all other educators, so contact education@tanenbaum.org for more details! The cost of the workshop is $250.00 for non-NYC educators and $150.00 for NYC educators. | ||
