Workshop
Keeping students engaged is our first and foremost challenge in public schools. This course will give you techniques on how to keep your students on-task through cooperation not control. This workshop will provide information that will help yoga teachers engage all of their students and manage their classes in a way that shows compassion and respect for children, while also being mindful of safety.Create an understanding of discipline as an education tool, rather than an attempt at control, and provide alternative discipline methods that serve to re-orient students to activities rather than ostracize them.Learn how to use communication strategies to create an environment of mutual trust and avoid unnecessary conflict with childrenvisit our website at www.littlefloweryoga.com and click on teacher training to learn more
We all know that boredom is the most common reason students misbehave. Come learn how to recognize different learning styles and keep your students rolling merrily along. This 3 hour workshop will focus on Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences. Howard Gardner's theory has changed our understanding of how children learn and how teachers can effectively communicate information. This workshop introduces teachers to all nine of Gardner's Intelligences and discusses ways in which we can use yoga to engage them. Help your students discover their strengths and strengthen their weaknesses, while giving them tools to succeed in school and in life.
