Calling All Afterschool Artists

Calling all afterschool artists: the Afterschool Alliance is seeking artwork for their 2009 Lights On Afterschool poster.  The winning student image will be printed on 50,000 posters and sent to afterschool programs from coast to coast for their Lights On Afterschool celebrations this October 22, and will be featured all year at

  • Internships Needed for High Schoolers!

    Could you use help with web design, business, media, event planning, or graphic design work at your organization?? The Pablo Neruda Academy for Architecture and World Studies (PNA) is looking for organizations that can provide a spring internship for one of their high school eleventh graders. PNA is a small public school in the Bronx has many students looking for unpaid internships this spring on Thursdays and Fridays from March 12 - May 1 (12 calendar days due to Spring Break schedule).

    The annual NewSchools Venture Fund Summit is the "it" conference in the education sector that has been run for 10 years in various locations across the country. This past year hundreds of prominent education leaders gathered for a day in DC to talk about the latest issues in education. But how do you make an event like this a success?
